Three day workshop of yoga practice with live music.

During this workshop the participants will get in touch with the basic techniques of yogic breathing pranayama), the basic postures (asana) and techniques of relaxation (shavasana).

What differentiates this workshop is that throughout the practice the music coexists and follows the changing rhythm of the group.

When yoga and music are in tune, the participant may have the opportunity to get deeper into the process of self-observation.

Sophia Marathaki

Certified Hatha Yoga Teacher (300hrs), graduate of Swaha Yoga Center TTC in Athens ( the center is registered with Yoga Alliance) and certified Aerial Yoga teacher, graduate of Swaha Yoga Center Aerial Yoga TTC. Her teachers are: Tanya Popovich, Jonni-Lyn Friel, Evangelos Apostolopoulos. She has attended workshops on Yoga asana, pranayama and philosophy with: Surinder Singh, Emil Wendel, Elena Brower, Sky. Sophia is an actor, director, graduate of spanish literature. She teaches Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa  in yoga studios in Athens. 

 

 

Andrea Bonetti

Andrea is a biologist, photographer, amateur musician and yoga practitioner. He has worked in various nature conservation projects in Greece and SE Asia; his pictures have been published in various books and magazines around the world and, at present, he is working as a photographer for WWF Greece in the project «Καλύτερη Ζωή» (www.kalyterizoi.gr). His photographic work can be seen on his website www.andreabonetti.com. Andrea is also leading a project whose aim is to teach people tools for an integrated perspective of the world in which we live (www.thebigpictureworkshops.wordpress.com). As a musician Andrea has appeared on stage a few times playing saxophone and didjeridoo.

 

 

Vassilis Tzavaras - musician, composer, improviser
Vassilis Tzavaras was born in 1973. He studied guitar, jazz improvisation and composition. Since 1993 member of the groups Occasional Dream, Take the money and run, Project 37, 4+1, Silent Move and Atonal Theatre Company. He participated in Biennale for Young artists twice (1999 in Rome and 2003 in Athens). He has performed in several concerts and live performances in Greece, Turkey and England.As a performer and teacher he is active in free improvisation for the past ten years.
